Der Pfälzer Radprofi Pascal Ackermann fährt ab der kommenden Saison für das australische Team Jayco AlUla. Der 31-Jährige unterschrieb einen Zweijahresvertrag, wie das Team am Mittwoch bekanntgab.

Ackermann, zuletzt beim Team Israel Premier Tech, freut sich auf den Wechsel: „Ich habe schon als Jugendlicher zu Jayco AlUla aufgeschaut – es ist ein Traum, jetzt Teil dieses Teams zu sein.“

Der Sprinter feierte in seiner Karriere mehrere Etappensiege bei Giro d’Italia und Vuelta, in diesem Jahr gelang ihm ein Sieg beim Klassiker von Dünkirchen.
