Special Olympics in Bad Dürkheim

Speyer und Bad Dürkheim dürfen sich freuen, denn sie sind zwei von insgesamt 216 Städten und Kommunen deutschlandweit, die bei den Special Olympics nächstes Jahr Host Town sind. Die Special Olympics sind eine Sportorganisation für Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung und als Host Town wird man die Athletinnen und Athleten sowie ihre Angehörigen für die 4 Tage im Juni empfangen. Wie Bad Dürkheim zur Host Town geworden ist, erklärt die erste Beigeordnete und Sozial- und Sportdezernentin Judith Hagen.
